Margaret P. Chu has been active
in the care/ case management and quality management profession
for over 20 years, working in the managed care, hospital, and
home health care settings. Margaret has experience as a front
line Case Manager and has worked as a Director of Case Management
and Vice President of Case Management and Quality Management.
She is currently working for Curaspan Health Group, a healthcare software company, as the Clinical Account
Executive for the NY Region. Margaret was recognized
as Distinguished Case Manager of the Year by CMSA in 2000. She
speaks frequently on various case management topics at both the
local and national levels. Margaret is an advocate for case management
and has served on both the local and national boards, including
Past President of CMSA LI. She has published numerous articles
on case and quality management and is a reviewer for the award
winning Journal for Healthcare Quality.

| Vice President: Terrie Magro RN, MA |
Terrie has been actively involved with the LI Chapter of CMSA
for the past nine years. Terrie’s professional experience
spans from hospital clinical positions to her current position
as a professional account executive with a nation company working
with the diabetic population. She has served on various committees
including the LI Chapter conference committee as well as Vice
President and President.

| Treasurer: Elaine Halloran, RN, BSN,
CCM |
Elaine Halloran is a graduate
of the Hunter College Bellevue School of Nursing. She has over
16 years experience in Case Management working at CHP a multispecialty
medical group and Oxford Health Plans. She is currently the Director
of Utilization Management at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.
Elaine has been a member of CMSA since 1996 – serving on
the Membership Committee, as a Board member, Vice President, President
and Treasurer.

Secretary: Joan Gershen, RN, MA |
Joan is the Director of Case Management at Southside
Hospital in Bay Shore, NY. She has held this position for three
years. She began her nursing career in 1979 and has worked in
many areas of nursing including med-surg, critical care and the
emergency room. She has been involved in Case Management for 18
years. She is an active member of CMSA LI and has served as Secretary
a Director.

Director: Doug Ferreiro, RN, BSN |
Doug has been a registered professional
nurse for over 25 years. Doug has worked in the home infusion
industry for the past fifteen years. He has held various positions
including high tech field nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Nursing Director
and Director of Operations. Doug is currently employed with Coram
Specialty Infusion Services as a territory manager covering Long
Island.

| Director: Eileen Roddy, RN |
Eileen has been a registered professional nurse
for 24+ years. She is currently working at Winthrop University
Hospital as a Case Manager in the Emergency Room. She worked many
years for a Managed Care organization and is a Certified Managed
Care Nurse. Eileen continues to keep her clinical skills current
by woring part time as an Emergency Room nurse. Eileen has been
an active member of CMSA LI serving as a committee chair, Vice
President and President.

| Director: Carole Schneider RN, CPUR |
Carole Schneider has been a nurse for 28+ years. She graduated
from the Catholic Medical Center School of Nursing. Her nursing
experience has been in med-surg, critical care, and home care.
She also has experience as a pharmaceutical representative. She
has been an acute care Care Manager at Good Samaritan Hospital
for 7 years. Carole is a CPUR and has applied for her CCM. She

| Director: Rochelle (Shelly) Rossi |
Shelly Rossi is an Account Infusion Liaison for Advanced Care
Inc., a licensed pharmacy and nursing agency. Her responsibilities
include establishing long term relationships with case managers
and social workers in hospitals. Shelly has been an active member
of CMSA LI for several years serving on the Hospitality and
Conference committees

Immediate Past
President: Claudia Curtis, RN,BSN |
Claudia Curtis has been a nurse
fro 30+ years. She has case management experience in home care,
long term home care and hospice. She has taught case management
as a clinical instructor for the University of Maine BSN program.
She is currently a care manager at St. Catherine of Siena and
continues to work in home care. Claudia is an active member of
CMSA serving on the Conference Committee.
