Inpatient Hospice Care:
Our hospice is committed to the care of terminally ill patients and their families to maintain quality of life throughout the dying process and bereavement period. Located in East Northport, our eight bed inpatient Hospice House, offers those who can no longer stay at home an alternative to dying in a hospital, nursing home or assisted living facility.
We are CHAP accredited and have dual Medicare certification for both home health care and hospice care, which allows us to maintain maximum staff continuity within a patient’s treatment period. We have 24-hour/day availability to accept a referral including weekends. VNSHS utilizes the Allscripts electronic referral system.
